Maryland has a rich history of swordsmanship, from Robert Craig’s book “Rules and Regulations for the Sword Exercised of the Cavalry” published here in Baltimore during the War of 1812, to the famed fencing masters at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, and so much more.

You will have the extraordinary opportunity to HANDLE a variety of ORIGINAL HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS and other exceptional objects, including original period training manuals, a HANDS ON EXPERIENCE with REAL ANTIQUE SWORDS, and more very rare and wonderful exhibits!
Next participants will have the opportunity to LEARN REAL HISTORICAL AMERICAN SWORDSMANSHIP from leading historical fencing researcher Dai Andrews, fencing master at the Baltimore Academy of Defence.
Finally the experience concludes with the opportunity for participants to test their new swordsmanship skills against one another in a real historical style duel!
All equipment is provided. The American Swordsmanship experience is generally suitable for all people ages 8+
